THINGS TO DO DURING YOUR STAY

VISIT THE NORTH STATION ON THE BOUNDARY OF THE RESERVE
6kms. Go there by boat, bicycle or walking and return along the beach. Don’t miss the short trail through the primary forest which is the best place to see the little poison-dart frogs. Don’t be surprised if you see a deer on the main trail or possibly a peccary. Keep an eye out for the big green iguanas.

ESCORTED NIGHT-TIME BEACH PATROL
(darkish clothes, long trousers, long sleeves, trainers or light boots, insect repellent recommended) to see Leatherback or Green turtles or hatchlings, depending on the time of year.

ESCORTED NIGHT WALK ALONG FOREST TRAILS
Insects and reptiles that you can’t see by day. Now is the chance to see those amazing frogs you have seen on the postcards.

WALK TO INTERNAL LAGOON
Fascinating birds and reptiles, and you are almost bound to see monkeys – howlers, white-faced or spider.

TAKE A BOATRIDE ALONG THE CANAL
For aquatic birds, freshwater turtles, caimans and crocodiles and the forest that comes down to the water’s edge.
